Flowers left for George Brothwell
George Thomas Brothwell, son of Emory and Pauline Brothwell, was born at Bridgeport, Conn. Jan. 25, 1841; died at his home at Rome City Jan. 28, 1908. At the beginning of the Civil War he enlisted in the Twelfth Indiana Cavalry, being mustered in Aug. 5, 1862. He was in many well-known campaigns including Sherman's March to the Sea and northward to join Grant in Virginia. He was in the corps that had the distinguished honor to lead in the Grand Review at Washington at the close of the war and was mustered out June 8, 1865. On Jan. 21, 1869 he married Maggie Warner.
