Flowers left for Richard Feynman
Dear Richard, It seems like yesterday (in my mind) when I visited you at UCLA and Cal Tech. I was only 14 but you took the time to explain the different fields of math and physics. I was so lucky my family envited you to our house and dinner turned into lectures by you. As the years went by I was proud to have you review my college grades and see that smile on your face. It was a sad day when I told you I would be moving to Silicon Valley and accept a position at Stanford University. I found myself mixing humor and facts in my lectures just as you did. Although I will have to admit I was never able to match your abilities to capture the full attention of my students, although at times I did see them smile.Yes I miss you and you shall live on in my mind and your lectures on Utube and the never-ending internet. Although you did not believe in an afterlife, you do live on in the internet, perhaps close to forever.Memories, James Hanford, PhD
