| |  Blessed Fra Angelico: You will be remembered as an Early Italian Renaissance painter described by Vasari in his Lives of the Artists as having "a rare and perfect talent". It is known in Italy as il Beato Angelico, the term "Il Beato" ("Blessed One") being already in use during his lifetime or shortly thereafter, in reference to his skills in painting religious subjects.In 1982 Blessed Pope John Paul II conferred beatification, and your recognition of the holiness of your life, thereby making this title official. You took the vows as a Dominican friar, thanks for the great artwork, may you rest in peace!
