Flowers left for Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson, one of the prominent citizens and a retired farmer of Stockwell, passed away there at 1:30 o’clock this morning, a victim of pneumonia. Mr. . Anderson was born in Sweden, February 18, 1852, and he came to this county in January, 1868, settling in Benton county. About seventeen years ago he moved to Stockwell, where he spent the remainder of his life. Deceased was married 34 years ago in Sweden to Mary Anderson, and two sons were born to this union, Fred A., of Stockwell, and Harmon J., who now is serving his county “Somewhere in France.” Mr. Anderson was a man of high principles and he was held in the greatest esteem in the community where he resided. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the M. E. Church at Stockwell, Rev. O. Paxton, of Mulberry, officiating. Burial will be in the Stockwell cemetery.
