|He helped to improve the country and lived to see it become one of the best improved parts of the state. He was always ready to help the worthy and was a model citizen in everything that applies to citizenship. He was honored by all who knew him and his death is deeply regretted by his neighbors and friends.|
Michael and his wife had four children: Alice E, born September 28, 1865; Alva B. 1866; Henry E. born April 11 1869; and Bertie E. born October 16, 1870. He was a member of the Mutual Insurance Company, and also belonged to the Horse Thief Detective Association. His farm was located on Section 10, in Lauramie Township.
