Flowers left for Thomas Pittman
Tom was my Dad's first cousin, and not just an ordinary cousin, but a 'Double Cousin as their fathers had married sisters. The first time I met Tom was in 1988 several months after the death of my Dad, W.C. Pittman. I burst into tears when I saw him as he looked so much like my Dad...family resemblance is strong in 'Double Cousins'.Tom and I had several visits into the 1990's including a trip my husband and I made to Arizona where Tom and Jean showed us a wonderful time at their retirement home there. Tom also gave me a collection of Family Photos that had belonged to his mother and grandmother. They have been invaluable in the documenting of the Pittman/Carroll Family and are preserved treasures in the resorted Album.I'm very proud to have known my Cousin Tom Pittman. Not mentioned in his memorial but an important part of his history is...Tom Pittman USAF by Rutherford Montgomery published in 1957. I have a copy and have enjoyed reading about Tom's childhood and USAF career.
