Flowers left for Zachary Lansdowne
I used to be stationed @ NAS Lakehurst & had the opportunity to study your work. [we lived on Lansdowne Road]You were a brave pioneer, flying into uncharted territory. The basic design flaws-our Zeppelins had square girders instead of triangular,& were never meant to fly over dry land--weren't your fault. You guys were the Astronauts of your day,& should be better known. Some of us think there is still a proper place for LTA Aviation in the Navy.Hanger 1 is still there,& you are not forgotten.Couageous leaders, who take us into new fields must always be remembered & honored.Rest Well,Sir.Thank You.
