Church Rites Held for Mrs. Ackelbein
St. Paul's Lutheran church was filled Thursday afternoon for the last rites of Mrs. Hulda Ackelbein who passed away early Tuesday morning after a long illness. The Rev. John Bundschuh conducted the last rites. Mrs. A.C. Sonneland sang "Abide with me" and "No Night There," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Bessie Mabry. Huge masses of flowers were banked about the entire front of the church. They were cared for by Mrs. Luella Williams, Mrs. Edna Jones, Mrs. Alvin Stroehlke, Mrs. John Boysen, Mrs. Greta Stroelke. Casket bearers were all long-time friends: Alvin Stroehlke, Herman Hansen, Otto Schultz, Frank Wagoner, E.E. Kissinger, Harold Brown. Many friends from Cripple Creek, Westcliffe and Montrose were here for the funeral services. Interment was made in Lakeside cemetery by the Canon Mortuary.
