Flowers left for 14th New Jersey Infantry Monument
PVT CHARLES A. HAGGERTY TRAINED HERE,GUARDED MONOCACY JUNCTION AND FOUGHT HERE AT THE BATTLE IN 1864. ENTERING THE BATTLE WITH AROUND 350 MEN,CHARLES WAS ONE OF ONLY 95 THAT ANSWERED THE FOLLOWING DAYS MUSTER CALL. HE RETURNED HERE IN 1907 TO WITNESS THIS MONUMENTS UNVEILING. HE DIED 3 YEARS LATER IN 1910.
