Flowers left for Raynal Bolling
Bolling AFB was established on 2 October 1917 as the Flying field at Anacostia. It was one of the initial World War I Army Air Service installations.[3] It is named for Colonel Raynal C. Bolling (18771918), the first high-ranking U.S. officer to be killed in combat in World War I.
