Death of Buddell Sleeper~
The veneralbe Buddell Sleeper died Tuesday evening at this residence near Farmer's Institute, being in his 82d year. His illness was of short duration. About six days ago he was violently attacked with lung fever, and the disese rapidly gaining, it soon became evident that recovery could not be hoped for. His last moments were calm and peaceful. Being perfectly consicious till the last, he recognized those about his bedside and realized that death was rapidly approaching. Early in the morning he made the remark to his son-in-law Job Osborn, that he was "going home." His entire family, excepting one daughter in California, gathered about his bedside as the aged father breathed his last. The funeral was held Thursday, February 23rd. The remains left the house at 1:30 arriving at the Friends' Church at 2 o'clock, where the services were held. The remains were the then conveyed to the Friends' cemetery where interment was made. page 1. c-6
