Flowers left for Stanley Green
A World War II U.S. Army veteran who entered service January 23, 1943 at Camp Custer, Battle Creek, MI. Trained at Camp Hood, Texas and was assigned to Company C, 661st Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was a heavy equipment driver on the M-20. The battalion was in support of the 69th Divison of the 1st Army and met the Russians at the Elbe River. Married to his wife Gertrude on February 14, 1942 and are the two sons and four grandchildren. Mentioned in the book "Tank Destroyer Forces WW II" published by Turner Publishing Co., Paducah, KY.
