Nelson, 95, of Wolbach died Tuesday, July31, 2001, at the Greeley Care Home in Greeley.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church inWolbach. The Rev. Ken West will officiate. Burial will be in theHillside Cemetery in Wolbach.There will be no visitation.Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.Mrs. Nelson was born on Nov. 11, 1905, to Ernest and Effie(Merchant) Thayer on the family farm in Greeley County. Sheattended the rural Logan School north of Wolbach and Wolbach HighSchool.She married Andy C. Nelson on Oct. 24, 1926, in Wolbach. Theylived in Wolbach. She operated a cream and produce station inWolbach, and her husband operated a trucking line during the 1930sand 1940s. The couple also operated the Tri-County Telephone Co.from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s. The couple continued to live inWolbach after their retirement. She moved to the Greeley Care Homeon Sept. 24, 1997. He husband died on Dec. 31, 1998.She was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed growingflowers and fishing with her husband.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, LaVonne and DanDilla of Lincoln; a grandchild; and two sisters-in-law, Emma Thayerof St. Paul and Lillian Nelson of North Platte.She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Clarence,Ernest, Percy and Bert; an infant brother; and a sister, Vina Kraft.
