Flowers left for Daniel Hanna
The marriage information is incorrect. His first wife was May Harrington. They got married in 1881 and she filed for divorce in 1897. His second wife was Daisy Gordon--he married her in 1898, two days after his first divorce was final, and Daisy filed for divorce in 1902. His third wife was Mary Stewart--he married her in 1902 and she filed for divorce in 1916. His fourth wife was Mollie Covington--he married her on 12/2/1916, and she filed for divorce 3/22/1921. All four wives charged him with cruelty and prevailed in their divorce proceedings. He had three sons with wife #1, one daughter with wife #2, and three daughters with wife #3. He so terrifed his first wife that she took her three sons and ran away from their home in Cincinnati, to a nice hotel in New York City, the Hotel Savoy. Hanna hired several detectives and they found her. Even though they watched the hotel all day and night, she somehow snuck out with the children, with the help of her friend, the Baroness de Pallandt. They went to the harbor and boarded the ship "Campania." They sailed for London. Hanna and his detectives caught up with them and found them locked in their stateroom. But because the ship was under a British flag, there was nothing they could do. May later returned to the US and they worked out the divorce details. He had to pay her $8,000/year alimony, give her a house, and pay for the education of his three sons. May later married Edmund Stallo in 1903, but divorced him in 1912. Daniel Rhodes Hanna may not have been the nicest man.
