Flowers left for Freddie King
Back in early 1974 my brother and I traveled one Thursday night down to Ga. Southwestern College to see Wet Willie play and Freddie was the opening act. Well even before the concert started Jimmy Hall (vocal, harp, sax of WW) came out on stage and said," We know what this can do and there won't be anybody left here if we let Freddie open so we're gonna open for him." What a tribute of humbleness to the master of Texas blues. I always loved seeing and hearing your riffs and blowing; you never failed to raise the crowd to there feet "immediately!"
