Flowers left for Samuel Brooks
He served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He was captured near Atlanta and sent to Louisville, Ky. and then to Camp Chase, Ohio where he was paroled and sent to Point Lookout March 18, 1965. After the war, he married and moved to Yell Co., Arkansas and later to Young Co., Texas eventually settling in the Hefner community north of Goree, Knox Co.,Texas.
