Flowers left for Ernest Cunningham
He was a great student, a quiet, lovable man, noble in every portion of his character. He loved the truth and hated shams. He passed through the world on his brief journey with the sole object of uplifting, educating and purifying the race of which he was a part. No words save those of praise and commendation were ever heard of him. He was a brother to Arthur D Cunningham of this city; A B Cunningham, pastor of the Christian church of Alexandria, and Miss Alida Cunningham, well known to the university here as a student. He will be missed by those deeply, and by the hundreds of friends over the state who knew and loved him. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock from the family home near Clarks Hill. Services will be conducted at the home by Rev. Hugh Gary, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of this city.
