Flowers left for Nancy Russell
Mrs. Russell was carried into her sonís home and a physician summoned but she succumbed to her injuries an hour later. She never lost consciousness and when asked how the accident happened replied that the cow had hurt her. It is stated by the Russell family that the cow heretofore had been regarded as a very gentle animal and had never at any time shown any signs of viciousness. They attribute its sudden rage to fear by the animal that its young calf would be molested. Mrs. Russell had resided in the Stockwell community for many years and was held in high esteem, her tragic death being a great shock to the entire neighborhood. Besides the son, Frank, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Arped Bartholomew and Mrs. Samuel Bartholomew.
