Flowers left for Jesse Swisher
BORN: March 24, 1774 in Pennsylvania."Jesse and Barbary spent most of their lives on the frontier, clearing the land, building their homes and other buildings, then moving to a new frontier. In the process, all of the children eventually owned good farms, through the efforts and assistance of their parents. Their farms was a regular meeting place on the frontier for the Methodist circuit Riders in Bartholomew county, Indiana and Swisher's Chapel existed as a Methodist meeting place from the 1840's until 1892 in Warren County, Indiana. These are ancestors who paid for everything they owned, worked hard for their living, and served their community well. They were honest and respected farmers - the kind of people who made America a great country - and their descendants should be proud of them" from Jack L. Swisher's Swhisher Family Genealogy written September 1976.
