Flowers left for Henry Piper
The tall man with speckled hair waits patiently for his late-night snack at the Rockport Station Donut Shop. Rockport is the end of the line and the train waits outside behind the station, purring with Diesel anxiety, to make the night's last return run. He is dressed with somewhat rumpled but clean work clothes, with heavy soled black shoes, like someone who spends a lot of time either sitting or standing. His feet are very large. On the table he left behind is a heavy coat and a very large book with a straw-colored cover, opened to a page titled, "He walked around the Horses."
