Hettie was the second wife of Robert Ashburn. He married her in 1853.

Crossville Chronicle December 18, 1930

One of the oldest citizens of the state passed to her reward Saturday when the gentle spirit of Aunt Hettie Ashburn passed on at the home of her daughter, Angeline Ashburn, Clarkrange. Had she lived until the 15th of next April she would have been 107 years old. The remains were buried at Old Camp Ground, 1 1/2 miles from Clarkrange on Monday, attended by many relatives and friends.
She was born April 15, 1824 and reared 11 children, 7 girls and 4 boys, 8 of whom survive her. She had 37 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren. Her youngest children, twin daughters, are 59 years of age. Her husband, Robert Ashburn, died May 7, 1897 at the age of 85.
It will be remembered that "Aunt Hattie" was fond of cinnamon stick candy and ate it every day for many years. A few years ago a wholesale candy house in Nashville sent her 10 pounds of their best cinnamon stick candy and wrote her a letter stating that they would be glad to supply her needs in that way for the remainder of her life.
