Ava Lucille Lowrie, 81, of Prairie Hill, passed away Nov. 24, 2005. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Prairie Hill Baptist church with the Rev. Fred Sian officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Hill Cemetery.

Ava was born in Marathon, Texas, to the late Alfred Ben and Mary Elena Anderson. She was a civil service employee and served as librarian at Altus Air Force Base and Long Beach Naval Base. She was a member of Prairie Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denmore Lowrie, in November, 2003.

She is survived by daughter, Gerry Ann Crouch and husband, Aubrey, of San Antonio; son, David Austin Lowrie and wife, Peggy, of Bluffdale; three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters; and a sister.
