Owner and founder of "Franciscan Vineyards Winery of Napa, Ca. in 1973. A very nice man, husband and father who loved his "manhattan cocktails" in the evening when he got home from his business! He loved people,cooking,waffles, pheasant hunting with his kids,his brothers and his family,Lake Tahoe,Hermosa beach in LA, fun times, BBQ's and a little glass of "wine" with good food. Lived in Atherton, Ca. and attended Nativity Catholic Church in Menlo Park, Ca. where he loved being an usher to meet and greet his local friends including his favorite buddy "Bud". "Bernie" had many friends and loved to entertain any of them at his house. Bernie is grandfather to 7 grandchildren who never knew nor enjoyed him due to his early death. "Bernie" was buried at his family plot beside his parents and brothers at New Calvary in Los Angeles, Ca. nearby with his spouse Dawn, who died in 2004. She is buried with her parents.
