Donna Marie Ferguson Showman, 57, of Woodstock, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Greenfield Adult Home in Woodstock.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock by Pastor Mary Louise Brown. Burial will follow in Toms Brook Cemetery in Toms Brook, Virginia.
Mrs. Showman was born June 10, 1953 in Woodstock daughter of the late William Jennings Ferguson and Estelle Elizabeth Edenton Ferguson. She was a devoted classmate of the Central High School Class of 1971. She worked for the Free Press in Woodstock for many years and was a member of Toms Brook United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel M. Showman and his wife Laura J. Showman of Yuma, Arizona and Deric D. Showman and his girlfriend Amiee George of Woodstock; husband, Dennis D. Showman of Woodstock; two brothers, W. Kenneth Wright of Woodstock and Stanley E. Wright Jr. of Strasburg; three grandchildren, Jonavan J. Nelson, Joslynn J. Nelson and Wesley J. Wilkerson all of Yuma, Arizona.
Pallbearers will be Don Brown, Gary Stickley, Doug Edenton, Robert Lewis, Harry Windle and Kevin Windle. Honorary pallbearers will be George Brinkley and Larry Rush.
The Central High School Class of 1971 will attend as a group.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
