On Feb 4, 1879, she was united in marriage to Menno L. Erb who preceded her in death on Oct 25, 1915. They moved with their three children Catherine "Katie" , Chris K., and John K., to O'Neill, Nebraska, in 1885, where she spent the remainder of her life. To this marriage were born 7 children Chris K., John K., Menno R., Rachel, Mose K., David and Catherine, the latter preceding her in death on Feb 17, 1926.
In September, 1916, she was again united in marriage, to Jacob Erb of O'Neill, Nebraska.
She leaves her husband, 6 children, 41 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 5 stepchildren, 1 sister (Mrs. Elizabeth Bellar of O'Neill), and a host of relatives and friends.
At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Savior and united with the Mennonite Church, in which faith she remained until her death. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and throughout the many years of her useful life in this community she won the sincere friendship and deep affection of all who knew her.
Many persons in this locality have known the kindness with which Grandma Erb's helping hand was extended to assist her many friends. We part with her knowing that her sufferings in this world are at an end.
Funeral services were conducted by Bro. P. 0. Oswald, with burial in the church cemetery.
