Pvt. Addison Seaver Dodge (1837-1863), served during the Civil War in Co. C, 4th Regt., NH Volunteers; he died at Morris Island, S.C. July 10, 1863, the scene of heavy fighting during the Union Army's campaign to capture Charleston harbor, which was depicted in the film "Glory". The hardships and sacrifices made by the soldiers on both sides during this campaign were incredible in the blistering hot South Carolina coast. He is bur. in Beaufort National Cemetery, SC.
