Bohemian Royalty. The second daughter of Friedrich IV and Elisabeth Stuart, she received her second name in thanks for the country where her parents had found refuge. She was raised together with her siblings in Leyden. After her fathers death she moved with her sisters Elisabeth and Henriette to The Hague. In 1658 she fled from there to France where she meet with her brother Eduard and her aunt, the exiled queen Henriette Marie. Soon after her arrival she converted to catholicism. In 1664, after the kings intercession she became abbess of Maubuisson. From time to time she was visited by her sister Sophie of Hannover or her niece the Duchess of Orleans. She was a talented paintress and painted many portraits of family members and people at the court and later her paintings filled the halls of Maubuisson. A stroke she suffered in 1705 paralyzed parts of her body but didn't affect her her mind at all.
