1st Lieutenant Marcus A Vose enlisted Oct 19, 1861 in Montville, Maine at age 20 as a sergeant into Co B 1st Maine Cavalry. He was promoted 2nd Lieutenant by Brevet in 1862. He was mustered out June 15, 1863.
On Dec 18, 1863 he was commissioned into Co H 2nd Maine Cavalry. He was promoted 1st Lieutenant of Co M in 1864. He was mustered out at Barrancas, Fl Dec 6, 1865.
He died at Howard Asylum, Providence, RI.
