"SCHABER - Esther Maeser, 86, entered into Eternal Rest on February 8, 2009. She was a graduate of Nazareth School of Nursing, a registered nurse retired from the medical unit of the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the St. Joseph Infirmary Alumni Association. Esther was the beloved wife of Gilbert C. Schaber for 63 years. She is also survived by a daughter, Betty Gean Lambuth, of Haymarket, VA; two granddaughters, Tonya L. Rozelle (Erick), of Chantilly, VA and Natasha L. Railey (Steven), of Lexington, KY; five great-grandsons, and her brothers; Walter H. and Henry Maeser. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 and 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Highlands Funeral Home. Burial in Resthaven Memorial Park."
