BAKER - William Jasper Baker of Route 2, Box 530, Veneta, passed away at his home August 20, 1968, at the age of 63. He was born October 2, 1904, in Idaho and was united in marriage to the former Violet Harrell January 5, 1927 in Eugene. He had been a resident of this area practically his entire life. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Manley J., Wayne E., both of Veneta, Frank L. of Alvadore; 2 daughters: Mrs. Florence M. Padden of Portland, Mrs. Lucille N. Stoneberg of Sparks, Nevada; 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the POOLE-LARSEN CHAPEL Saturday, August 24, at 11 a.m., Mr. Albert McIntyre officiating. Concluding services Laurel Hill Cemetery.

NOTE: William "Bill" Baker was the son of Nora (Baker) Cox and Elzie Cox. Bill Baker went by his mother's maiden name and was raised by his grandfather, Joseph "Joe" Baker. Bill Baker married Violet Noleeka Harrell on January 5, 1927 in Eugene, Oregon.
