Funeral services for Goldie Peck were held Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church at Postville, Iowa, with the Reverend Gary Catterson officiating. Special music was provided by Beverly Bacon, organist and Karla Johnson, soloist. The Casket Bearers were, Todd Peck, Aaron Peck, Ty Peck, Thad Peck, Derek Peck, Andy Peck, Richard Harberts, Brandon Nyman, and Sam Dramstad. Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Goldie Lillian (Barrett) Peck was born April 18, 1923 to Charles and Hattie (Schoonmaker) Barrett at rural, Postville, in Winneshiek County near Frankville. She passed away Wednesday morning, August 8, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, Iowa, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Goldie was married to Upton Shefferd Peck on May 22, 1940., at Decorah, Iowa. To this union seven children were born. She lived in the Frankville, Postville, Oelwein and Cedar Rapids areas.

She is survived by her children, Harold (Dona) Peck, Postville, Margie (E. B.) Kunkle, Cedar Rapids, IA, Larry (Julie) Peck, Cedar Falls, IA, Morvin (Chris) Peck, Cedar Falls, IA, Alice Harberts, Ankeny, IA, Sheryl (Lawrence) Schulte, Harpers Ferry, IA, and Lori (Dave) Dramstad, Cedar Rapids, IA; 18 grandchildren: Todd Peck, Aaron Peck, Tami Swanson, Dawn Luttrell, Shelly Stratton, Carol Miculinich, Melinda Seiffert, Ty Peck, Thad Peck, Derek Peck, Stacy Peck, Andy Peck, Richard Harberts, Amy Olson, Bethany Schulte, Brandon Nyman, Sam and Katie Dramstad; 20 great grandchildren: Nichole Klingeman, Jennifer Onken, RaeAnn, Josi, Thomas Swanson, Lindsay Salinas, Alexandra , Samantha Smith, Lea, Jacob Stratton, Alissa Aarhus, Amanda Gilbreaith, Jordan, Dalton Miculinich, Hunter, Dylan Seiffert, Anja Peck, Witt Harberts, Payton, Carly Olson, Hunter Rottinghaus; 4 great great grandchildren: Gavin Klingeman, Lilith Klingeman, Harley Onken, Ava Gilbreaith.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Charles and Hattie, her step mother, Mabel Barrett, her husband, Upton Peck, a brother, Morvin Barrett, and a great granddaughter, Amber R. Peck.

Goldie was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Postville.
