John was born in Orange County, California to Gayla (age 17 yrs.) and John Gewock (age 19 yrs.). When Johnny was 3, he and his mother moved to Hollywood, CA. where his mother gave birth to a baby brother named Aaron Andrew.
At age 5 John moved back with his dad in Bellflower, CA. He lived there for three years. At 8 years old John moved to Ketchum, Idaho with his mom where he learned to snow ski. And so a pattern began to form. For the remaining years of John's short life he moved back and forth between his father and mother about every three years until he came of age.
At age 16 John worked at the John Wayne airport in Orange County, CA. When in Idaho he painted houses and worked in the construction business. In 1982 his mother left to live in the British Virgin Islands. John stayed in her Ketchum, Idaho condo.
On October 10, 1986 John became a father to Autumn Dawn Reed. On October 21, 1986 John was in a fatal Motor Cycle accident less than a mile from home. He had just turned 21 a month earlier.
John is dearly missed by all who knew him.
