Helen E. Humphreys passed away on Feb. 25, 2010. She was born in Great Falls on Dec. 3, 1921, and raised on a ranch in Fairfield,

She married Jack Sangray on Feb. 13, 1943, and they lived in Great Falls until 1956, moving to Calgary, Alberta.

She graduated from beauty school in 1960, and moved back to the States. She opened her own beauty shop in 1963 in Townsend and owned it for 30 years.

Helen's hobbies included crocheting, gardening, bowling and painting. She loved to travel to see her family. She was a member of the Elks.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Wryn and Elsie Wryn Wariki; stepfather, John Wariki; brother, John Wryn of Missoula; son-in-law, Don Lander, California; and grandson, Bryce Colby of Townsend.

Helen is survived by four children, Bonnie Lander, Santa Clara, Calif., Jack (Carolyn) Sangray, Townsend, Donna Sangray, Townsend, Walter (Shirley) Sangray, Copperopolis, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Connors Funeral Home.

Reception to follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church. Family requests memorials to Frontier Hospice of Helena, 800 Front St., Helena, MT 59601.
