Fantastic laughs and memories from your TV shows of the 70s and 80s. You were unique and irreplaceable. Thanks for telling it as it was. You are so missed. To live in the hearts of those left behind is not to die. A simple thanks. Hope to see you on the other side.

Dave I (we) miss you, love you and thank you. Thank you so much for living and sharing your life with us. I don't know where you are now, I like to think you are still with us as part of the universe recycled, but 'Thank you Dave, good night and may your god be with you (and those you love)'. BTW, anyone reading this ask UK Gold to start showing his programmes. I asked them and they said they do it on demand. It's about time we demanded Dave (again). YB

I always loved your incredible sense of humor which always matched my own, and i hardly ever missed one of your shows which was nearly always on close to midnight as i remember which was very late but i enjoyed everything you did and you always had me laughing though the night which was always the perfect way for me to end the day. God bless you.

Happy Birthday, to the funniest man I've ever seen. You have inspired many, but none can carry it off the way you did. Cheers.

I used to love watching you when I was a child. You were one of the funniest people I have ever seen. You also spoke a lot of common sense about life and of course religion, with your humour. This upset quite a few people. But most of us loved it. After I reached adulthood, I was lucky enough to see you perform in Southampton. You had retired, but as you put it,''It's an Irish retirement, I'm still working''. I was so very sad when you died.I really have been a fan of yours all my life. I miss your humour and the common sense you spoke.I wish they would show your work on T.V. Still you were always alittle 'different'. Some people don't like 'different'. So to use your words,'Good night. Thank you and may your God go with you'.xxxx
