John D. Clark, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully January 8, 2013.
John left behind his beloved Wife of 56 years Helen A. Clark. He was also a devoted father to Sue Ellen, John, Brian and the late Sharon. He was known affectionately as Grandpa to James, Benjamin, Katherine, Jason, Julia, Ryan, Alicia, Miles, Margo and his Great Grandson, Trip. John was also a devoted brother to Mary and Patrick whom he had only recently discovered after years of searching. He was also a great companion to Buddie.
John was born in Brooklyn, NY where he later became a decorated proud member of the NYPD. He retired after twice being wounded in the line of duty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Presidential Honor Guard, Co A 3rd Infantry. After His retirement from the NYPD John moved to Pennsylvania where he became the Director of the Bureau of Investigations for the Office of the State Auditor General. After retiring from his second career John moved to Hilton Head, SC where he loved to play golf and pursue his other interests. Eventually he moved back to Camp Hill where he could be closer to his Grandchildren. John will be interred at Chestnut Hill Cemetery where he will lie at peace with his beloved daughter Sharon Ann.
Viewing will be from 6-8 PM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 12, 2013 from Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Trindle Rd. Camp Hill.
