Robert L. Lafferty, 75 died Monday (1/24/2011) at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Jan.28,1935 in Philadelphia, Pa. son of the late Lawrence E. Lafferty and Mary Swain Lafferty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother William Lafferty; and his stepson, Jerry Michael Coley.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis McPherson and Dr. Grayson McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dalrymple Coley Lafferty; stepdaughter Diane Dowd and husband Mike, of Sanford; brother, Thomas Lafferty and wife, Diane, of Newtown Square, Pa; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway prior to the funeral service.
