He was born 23 May 1819 in Marshall Co., Tennessee, son of Gersham BILLS and Althana Allison BALCH BILLS. He married Sarah Graham HARDIN on 22 April 1840 in Lewisburg, Marshall Co., TN.
Military service:
Confederacy, 34th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry
He passed away 13 Jan 1898 and is buried in the Cloudchief Cemetery.
His wife, Sarah was born 18 May 1825 in Marshall Co., TN; daughter of John Lawrence HARDIN and Rebecca CABELL. Sarah passed away on 20 Jan. 1898, one week after William and is buried in the Cloudchief Cemetery beside him.
