Dorothy was a kind, gentle, and compassionate woman. She was the loving wife of Duane Ayres, whom she married on June 3, 1945. They were the parents of two children. She and Duane made their home in Melrose Park, Illinois. At one time, Dorothy worked at Wilson Sporting Goods, in the Human Resources Dept. Sadly, Duane passed away in June of 1971. Dorothy became ill and moved to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. There she lived with family until her death at the age of 48. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 6, 1974 at 2:00 P.M. at the Feaster Indian Rocks Chapel. The Reverend Charlie Martin, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks officiated.
