Victor was one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen and positively the most, gentle loving one. I have had cats for 60 years. I positively fell in love with him on first sight. He was born sometime in 1995. When he came to my ex- son in law's door he was either abandoned or a stray. He was nicknamed Victor the Visitor since he wasn't suppose to be permament. That notion lasted only until bedtime when he discovered he could sleep in the main bed and found it to be extremely comfortable. Initially he had a full voice. Somehow he lost most of it and the last years he could barely whisper squeak. According to his Dad, he was not the most graceful cat.He never found a way to get gracefully from point A to point B. Compared to other cats he was somewhat awkward. No ballerina leaps for him. Yet to me he had the most elegant regal walk. He simply owned the room when he moved around it. Victor did not cotton to other cats and remained aloft except at food time. The other cats clearly understood that Victor was the King of Beasts and they did not touch their bowls until he was through. Rest in peace, Victor. I miss you.

I guess it is OK to now tell the story of his burial. I know his owner/dad loved him so can only assume he couldn't face the task of burying a beloved pet; Victor remained in the garage for two weeks in the summer heat before the ex son in law buried him. He was buried in the back yard of a rental house so there is no one to tend his grave or care that he is there.I offered spot in my back yard. We at Find A Grave can tend him here.
