William Hansford Pearson was married to Ella Payne, daughter of Hanson Payne and Prudence Gamble. They had 6 children together. His parents were William H Pearson and Elizabeth Dean, both born in Alton, Indiana.

After Ella Payne Pearson passed away, William moved in with Rhoda Henrietta Palmer, whose husband had recently passed away. He helped to take care of her until she died.

He was then married to Oma Lee Ebling (nee Gibson)on June 19, 1981. This was his third and her fourth marriage. They were divorced quickly after their marriage.
