PFC Gary L. Fleck was killed Friday, June 26, 1970 in combat operations in Cambodia. He was assigned to Vietnam May 30th and went to Cambodia June 11th. He was the son of Byrl and Gladys Strong Fleck and lived in Niles, Ohio. He married Debbie Zampedro Fleck on Oct. 25, 1969. Before the military he was employed by Packard Electric in Warren. He was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. He had a sister and 2 brothers.

Gary was a very quiet, nice looking young man.
