John Coltrin/Coltrain born 1738 supposedly on the ocean. Father William Coltrain. Orphaned by 1742 and lived in Wareham, MA. Married Rebecca Maxham after March 1763 in possibly Wareham (where intent to marry was filed) Lived various places after his marriage ie:Plympton, MA, Tolland CT (were he served in the American Revolution from that state)by at least 1800 he lived in Cayuga Co., NY. Place of death is uncertain but ancestors wanted to honor his service to his country during the revolutionary war and this is the only cemetery in the US by the name of the Coltrin Cemetery and some land records in Vigo Co., In say a John Coltrin lived here but it is most likely his grandson John mentioned in the land records.
