Funeral services for Edward Lee "Ed" Hall, 72, of Commerce will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce.

Interment will follow at Cumby City Cemetery with Wayne Henegar, Toney Hurley, Monty Tipps, Rusty Stillwagoner, Danny Mitchell and Jace Anglin serving as pallbearers. Mr. Hall's grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Hall passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, in Greenville.

He was born in Dike on Feb. 7, 1939, to Lula Mae Romans Hall and Elmer Lee Hall. They preceded him in death.

He married Alice Anderson on Jan. 10, 1959, in Oklahoma. She survives.

Mr. Hall had worked in construction and as a dairy farmer.

Other survivors include his son, Martin Lee Davis and wife, Leslie, of Sulphur Springs; five daughters, Cindy Hall Foster and husband, Gene, of Klondike, Kathy Hall Carter and husband, Johnny, of Cumby, Debbie Hall Howard and husband, Monty, of Campbell, Carla Hall Vaughan and husband, Rickey, of Cumby, and Hollie McDonald of Sulphur Springs; one brother, James Hall of Commerce; three sisters, Rose Ann Dykman of California, Ruthie Boyer of North Carolina and Margaret Turner of Cumby; six grandsons; five granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his infant child; his brother, Martin Hall; and four sisters, Wanda Follis, Laura Catherine Hall, Pauline Alvis and Magdaline Lindsey.
