George L. Reed, age 59, a resident of Eastpointe since 1992, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home. George was born July 7, 1950 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.

George was a member of the Warren Elks, Roofer's Local 149 union, a licensed builder, and enjoyed the Motown Music and the band Chicago.

Beloved husband of Carol for 28 years.

Step-father of Thomas Wagner.

Brother of the late John Reed, Kathleen (Bill) Vernengo, Michael (Judy) Reed, Colleen (Bill) Milburn, Timothy (Nancy Gilmore) Reed and Theresa (Steve) Pearl.

Son-in-law of Winifred Rowley and the late Edwin Rowley.

Brother-in-law of Joyce Rowley, Janice Reha, Ed (Sue)Rowley, Eileen Oxman, Mary Clarke, and the late Robert Reed.

George is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and also great nieces and great nephews, family members and friends

Visitation Thursday from 2-9 PM at the S. K. Schultz Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot at 8 ½ Mile Road.

Additional visitation Friday from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass 9:30 AM at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 21440 Universal, Eastpointe.

Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, Michigan.
