Funeral services for Naoma Jean Ashley, age 83, of Kilbourne, Louisiana will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Truman Smith and Reverend Ron Bray will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mrs. Ashley died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove.
Mrs. Ashley was a longtime resident of Kilbourne where she was a member of the Kilbourne Baptist Church. When she was a young child she moved with her parents from Adamsville, Tennessee to Kilbourne. She graduated from Kilbourne High School. She was a member of the Oak Grove Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a long time employee of King Phar and Allen Canning Company of Oak Grove.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd "Jack" Ashley; her parents, Marcus Jay Malone and Josie Irene Clark Malone; 2 brothers, Olyn Dean Malone and Donald Ray Malone.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Ann Ashley of Kilbourne; grandson and his wife; Paul Richard and Tammy Ashley of Kilbourne; 3 great grandchildren, Victoria Mathieu, Houston, Ashley and Caitlyn Ashley; sister and brother-in-law, Nan and Dwain Hunter of Oak Grove; sister and brother-in-law, Florinell and William Laird of Monroe, Louisiana; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Malone and Ann Malone both of Kilbourne.
