Obituary:
GIBBS--In this city, Tuesday Oct 21, 1890 at 10:20 a.m., Richard Gibbs, aged 56 years and 8 months.

The funeral services of the deceased took place at the Christian Church this city, at 2 p.m., today, Thursday, Rev. Ford Hagin preaching the funeral sermon. His remains were followed to their resting place in Rose Hill by a large company of mourning friends and by Burnside Post G.A.R., of which he was a member. An honest man, a loyal citizen, a loving husband, a fond father and a true friend, he lived the life of the faithful, the brave and the true, and died the death of the righteous. His spirit has joined his comrades, gone before, on fame's eternal camping ground. Peace to his ashes, may his rest be sweet.
