John, I just finished watching "Uncle Buck" probably for the 1000th time. Yes my heart still breaks with the fact we lost you way too soon in life. I guess God needed a few laughs too!. John Candy. The Canadian Teddy Bear of the 1980s. You were an important icon of my childhood. Summer Rental,Brewsters Millions,Little Shop of Horrors,Spaceballs, The Great Outdoors,Uncle Buck,Home Alone. You appeared in nearly every 80s comedy I can remember. Such a great comedian, such a fantastic character actor, such a warm, benevolent man loved by everybody.I remember going with my family back in late 1993 to see Cool Runnings. You blew us away with your talent, little did we and anybody know, you would be gone within several months. I wasn't too excited about Wagon's East, but I remember hearing about "Canadian Bacon" and looked forward to seeing it open. Then on the school Friday morning of March 4,1994, I walked to class and was hearing whispers from students around me, when I asked what they were whispering about, they said "John Candy died of a heart attack".I was 11 years old and in shock. I couldn't believe it. You were gone. Just like that and only 43. Your life wasn't just over, your career was suddenly gone too.John, we still miss you. You are a relic of us 80s kids. We know what time period were in watching films with you. You are timeless and your name is timeless, rest will Mr. Candy.

Mr. Candy, God called you home 22 years ago today. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with comedy. Thank you for the countless memories, moments, and laughter, which you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, young and old. You are and will forever remain one of the most talented, warmest, and funniest performers of this or any era, who will always be held in the highest of regard. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always.RIP
