Jane Bee Married John McKechinie in Scotland she married Ira Stearns Hatch, 27 Nov 1852, after coming to US. Our Pioneer HeritageVolume 20Old CemeteriesDavis CountyWeber CountyJane McKechinie Hatch was a widow who, with her three children, her mother, her brother and sisters came to Utah from Scotland September 1852. Her youngest child, John, was born two months after the death of his father in Scotland. The mother provided for her children by nursing. They made the long hard trip by boat and ox team to Utah. Many a meal she divided with her children was scarcely enough for herself. Jane McKechinie married Ira Stearns Hatch and it is her son John Thomas McKechnie that is laid to rest here.
