Don F. Dixon, 94, of Jasper, Mo., died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Barton County Memorial Hospital, Lamar, Mo., after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 13, 1906, at Columbus, to Joel Dixon and Laura Trimble.
He was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Dixon was a farmer.
He was a member of Purcell, Mo., Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul Dixon of Grants, N.M.; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera L. Ditson Dixon on Aug. 4, 1999.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galena.
The Rev. Norm Duncan will officiate, and Don Helms will give the eulogy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City, Mo.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
