Came to know of you through "the book" and "the movie". We have visited your home and saw Savannah through your eyes. You will remain a treasure of Savannah.

I knew you James Arthur when we were teenagers, you went to school with my husband Joe Jr. Griffin. I now have a son living in Savannah, Ga., and have been by your house several times, I believe that Dorothy Kingery (your sister) lives there.I think that Dorothy knew Joe also. My maiden name was Gilmore. You are buried at Ramah just across the little road from my son "Andy Griffin."

In recognition and in honor of a true character. The world is a bit less bright, but heaven no doubt is now scented with a bit of cigar well, sir.
